About this area
Englewood
Englewood straddles the Charlotte and Sarasota county line, combining beach neighborhoods on Manasota Key with inland residential streets. It is one of our farther service areas, so first contact usually starts by phone.
Getting to our office
Take SR-776 (Indiana Avenue) east to US-41 south, continue through Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, then follow Burnt Store Road (CR-765) south into Cape Coral, Pine Island Road east and Chiquita Boulevard S south.
Local information
- Local landmarks: Dearborn Street, Englewood Beach on Manasota Key and the SR-776 and US-41 junction.
- Englewood's retiree-heavy population most often asks about COPD, heart rhythm problems, arthritis pain and blood-pressure control.
- Plan on about one hour and 10 minutes; SR-776 is slow through Placida in season, so an early departure helps.
- Because of the distance, we complete eligibility questions by phone first and combine screening and baseline procedures into a single visit when the protocol permits.
