About this area
Punta Gorda
Punta Gorda is a harborfront city in Charlotte County with one of the oldest median ages in Florida, and a strong culture of volunteering for research. Burnt Store Road gives residents a direct route south to our office without using I-75.
Getting to our office
From US-41 in downtown Punta Gorda, take Burnt Store Road (CR-765) south through the Burnt Store corridor into Cape Coral, continue to Pine Island Road, then turn south on Chiquita Boulevard S.
Local information
- Recognizable points: Fishermen's Village, Gilchrist Park, the US-41 twin bridges and Punta Gorda Airport.
- Charlotte County's older population drives demand for heart failure, atrial fibrillation, hypertension and COPD studies, along with memory and mobility concerns.
- The Burnt Store Road drive is about 45 minutes and avoids I-75 entirely, which most Punta Gorda participants prefer.
- Visits are typically scheduled between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and we confirm whether a caregiver or driver will accompany you so the check-in area is ready.
