About this area
Clearwater
Clearwater combines beachfront tourism with dense year-round neighborhoods along US-19, and has a large population of adults over 60 managing several chronic conditions at once. It is our northernmost Pinellas service area.
Getting to our office
From Clearwater Beach, take the Memorial Causeway east to US-19 south, follow I-275 south over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (toll) to I-75 south, exit to Burnt Store Road (CR-765) south into Cape Coral, then Pine Island Road east and Chiquita Boulevard S south.
Local information
- Recognizable points: Coachman Park, the Memorial Causeway, Clearwater Beach roundabout and the US-19 corridor.
- Local interest is strongest in COPD, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and diabetes studies, often for people already on several medications.
- Plan on about two hours and 10 minutes; US-19 traffic before the interstate is the least predictable part of the trip.
- Clearwater participants are matched with protocols requiring the fewest visits, and eligibility review is completed by phone before any travel.
