About this area

Estero

Estero sits on the inland I-75 corridor between Fort Myers and Bonita Springs, home to Florida Gulf Coast University students, working families and a large gated-community retiree base. That mix gives us a wide age range of volunteers.

Getting to our office

Join I-75 north at Exit 123 (Corkscrew Road), continue to Exit 136 (Colonial Boulevard) and head west across the Midpoint Memorial Bridge onto Veterans Parkway, then north on Chiquita Boulevard S.

Local information

  • Starting points people use: Miromar Outlets, Hertz Arena, Coconut Point and the FGCU entrance on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway.
  • Estero enrollment spans two groups: adults over 65 with cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, and younger adults with asthma or allergic rhinitis.
  • The drive is about 30 minutes; Corkscrew Road and Ben Hill Griffin Parkway are slowest at school drop-off and 5 p.m.
  • Students and shift workers from Estero can request late-afternoon screening visits, and we confirm parking and check-in details by email the day before.
